Thanks to M for the heads up, we now have more on the synopsis for Violet and Daisy.

A coming of age story with elements of dark humor and intrigue. Violet, 19 and Daisy, 18 are professional hit girls, roommates and best friends with their lives ahead of them and a long overdue vacation that has finally arrived. When they are lured into what is supposed to be just another quick and easy job, their plum plans get complicated as the man they’re supposed to kill is not what they expected.

Saoirse Ronan will play a teenage assassin in two different movies set to release next year.

“Hanna,” which is in post-production, is directed by Joe Wright, who led the then-unknown Ronan to worldwide stardom at the age of 11 for her Oscar-nominated role in “Atonement.”

The film, which also stars Cate Blanchett and Eric Bana, has Ronan playing a girl who has been trained as a killer to exact her father’s deadly wishes on the world.

The sixteen-year-old has also recently started filming “Violet and Daisy,” in New York. The film is directed by Geoffrey Fletcher, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of “Precious.”

Those who have worked with Ronan believe the actress is more than capable of handling whatever roles come her way.

“She’s a phenomenal actor. It’s just in her,” said Colin Farrell who worked with her on “The Way Back,” a World War II film. “She’s really smart and really lovely with it.”

Saoirse, her Hanna co-star Eric Bana and director Joe Wright will be attending a event at New York Comic-Con. The first sneak peak from the film will be presented in the event as well. Can’t wait to see it!!

Focus Features’ adventure thriller brings cast and crew to New York.

Next weekend at New York Comic-Con, the IGN Theater will host the cast and crew of Focus Feature’s upcoming adventure thriller Hanna. Attendees will get the chance to catch an early glimpse of the film along with footage and a panel featuring the stars and director.

Stars Eric Bana (Star Trek, Hulk) and Saoirse Ronan (The Lovely Bones) and director Joe Wright (The Soloist, Atonement) will all be in attendance at the event, which will take place on Saturday afternoon, October 9th at 12:30 PM. A first-look of exciting footage from the film will be presented.

Alexis Bledel and Saoirse Ronan shoot scenes for their new movie, Violet & Daisy, in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City on Tuesday afternoon (September 28).

The twosome play the title characters — two teenage assassins accepting what they think will be a quick-and-easy job, until an unexpected target throws them off their plan.

This will be Geoffrey Fletcher’s directorial debut. Machete’s Danny Trejo and James Gandolfini will also star.
